Privacy policy

Ryu Bento Kitchen is an offline iOS app. Your box formats, dishes, prep notes, eaters, weekly plans and shopping lists are stored on your device. I do not run an account system, I do not have a server that receives your content, and I cannot see what you put into the app.

Content you create — box formats and layouts, dishes and ingredients, prep notes, eaters and their box sizes, weekly plans and shopping lists — is saved in the app's local storage on your device.

App settings and preferences, such as units and display options, are stored the same way.

No name, email address or account is required to use the app.

No advertising identifiers, no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

No analytics or behavioural telemetry describing how you use the app.

No location data, contacts, photos or health data unless you explicitly attach a photo yourself, in which case it stays in the app's local storage.

If you have iCloud Backup or device backups enabled in iOS, your app data may be included in those backups. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy, not by me.

If you contact me at bruno@matisin.click, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and to fix or improve the app. I do not add you to a mailing list and I do not sell or share your message with anyone.

The app is designed partly for parents packing school lunches, but it is intended to be used by adults. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Because the data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can edit or delete any dish, box, eater or plan inside the app, and deleting the app removes its local data from your device.

If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated and the date below revised. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
